John and Sarah Mills are the 3rd generation to run the farm, we are lucky enough to be the custodians of this little bit of beautiful Hampshire countrside for a while.
Having taken over the farm from John's Aunt Grace in 2000 we are able to bring skills from our previous working lives in engineering and education to benefit the farm. While John has been working hard to get the farm and livestock in good shape, Sarah has been developing the business to help ensure a secure future.
Sarah worked with Hampshire Fare on the "Preserve The Hog" project, funded by The Prince's Countryside Fund to enable pig farmers to learn the skills to produce charcuterie as a way of protecting pig farming in Hampshire. Marc Frederic Berry was the brilliant tutor for this course, and we are lucky enough that he has become a friend and now runs workshops here for us to help encourage others to learn more about charcuterie.
John and Sarah have been lucky enough to meet some amazing people through making salami! Sarah was invited to Clarence House with the Prince's countryside fund and met Prince Charles, they met Chris Evans at Carfest and then Jamie Oliver and Jimmy Doherty came and spent a day filming for Fright Night Feast at the farm!
